Acclaimed musician Jeff Wayne is working on putting together an animated version of his bestselling and award-winning Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War Of The Worlds. The $48 million feature-length animated project is in pre-production and will use state-of-the-art CGI and Motion Capture technology. His team already has a completed script and storyboard, including an original prequel explaining why the Martians leave their planet to invade Earth during the time of Victorian England.

We have been provided with a teaser from the Jeff Wayne camp, taken from the R&D material being cranked out at a rate of knots for Jeff Wayne's CGI feature film of his classic Musical Work.
